Why There is a Central Bank?

Bank Indonesia (BI) is central in Indonesia. Why are said to be central? Because this is where all the rules and banking regulations in Indonesia is made. The bank which regulates all the systems related to the business and banking performance, as well as having the authority to make crucial decisions in order to maintain the stability of the rupiah.

Why There is a Central Bank?

This is one of the privileges of Bank Indonesia, as the monetary authority in the country. So that the BI has the right to make policies that are considered necessary, in order to maintain domestic monetary stability by preventing inflation.

BI has the same duty to keep the circulation of money in the community. It is also intended to prevent runaway inflation.
